Green Toys

Our ethical philosophy means that we stock toys that are produced by companies who take their social responsibilities very seriously. Wherever possible our products are environmentally friendly, made from high quality natural or sustainable materials such as rubber wood from replenished or carefully managed forests, organic materials, bamboo and cotton or recyclable fabrics.

We are conscious of the issues associated with plastics and PVC use in toy manufacturing, and the effect this is likely to have on the environment, long term. We are committed to avoiding the use of plastics, as much as is reasonably possible, and we ensure all glues, dyes and paints are safe and conform to EU standards. 


Our Eco friendly toys and gifts fall into one or more of these categories:


- Eco friendly – These products are made from sustainable sources and natural or recycled materials, free from harmful chemicals, toxic paints, dyes or glues. They are usually reusable and recyclable, altogether aiming to reduce their impact on the environment.


– Ethical – These products are made by companies that take their social responsibilities seriously. They strongly oppose the use of child labour and exploitation of workers. They ensure that working conditions are of a good standard and that all workers receive an adequate living wage.


– Fairtrade – Companies who produce fairtrade products aim to alleviate poverty by providing fair access to markets, paying fair prices to producers in developing countries and promoting sustainability. The fairtrade movement advocates social and environmental standards, such as gender equality in pay        and conditions in relation to the production of goods. Fairtrade aims to overcome the injustice of world        trade that places profit over human rights.
